Dahi Ambula Khatta How To Cook

Dahi Ambula Khatta

Ingredients :

  • 7-8 pieces Ambula(Dry Mango) 
  •  2 tsp of mustard paste
  •  2 red chillis
  •  1 tsp of punch phuran
  •  10-11 curry leaves
  •  2 tsp of desi ghee or oil
  •  2 tsp of mustard paste
  •  1/2 tsp of grated ginger
  •  1/2 tsp of grated mango ginger(amba ada)
  •  2 tsp of grated cocnut
  •  1-2 tsp of jeera and red chilli powder(fried)
  •  50 gms jaggery(guda)
  •  2 tsp sugar
  •  1 cup of yogurt
  •  1/2 tsp of black salt
  •  salt as per taste

How To Cook  

  • Soak the ambula in water for 1hr.
  • Then take the kadai and heat ghee in it.
  • Then add red chilli and punch phuran in to it.
  • When it starts spluttering then add grated ginger.
  • Then add soaked dry mango into it.
  • After 2-3 minute add mustard paste into it.
  • Then after 1-2 minute add jaggery and sugar into it.
  •  Then add some salt. And keep the flame in medium.
  • Then leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Then add grated coconut, red chilli and jeera powder into it and leave it for 2-3 mins.
  •  In between that add black salt into curd. And mix it well.
  •  Then add it with that dry mango mix. And switch off the flame. And mix all that properly.
  •  Now Dahi Ambula Khata is ready.
